Gary Bowyer has backed Jordan Rhodes to go on another goalscoring run from now until the end of the season.
It was under Bowyer's charge that the 23-year-old started a scoring spree that saw him equal a club record of eight consecutive league goals.
Now after scoring his first goal in five outings in the 1-1 draw with Blackpool on Friday, Bowyer believes he can add further to his 22 goals for the club between now and the end of the current campaign.
"We are fortunate to have Jordan who has scored as many goals as he has this season," said the caretaker boss.
"That is why the club paid a lot of money for him. That is what he is in the team for.
"When it dropped to him you were delighted because you knew that it would go in the back of the net.
"Now he's scored again hopefully he'll go on another run of games and that will just get us a few more points and we can get to the summer and regroup once more."
Rhodes and Rovers are back in action this Monday when they travel to take on Cardiff City.
Rovers Player will be providing full uninterrupted match coverage from 2.45pm.
