Whilst admitting that reaching the play-off spots is still a difficult task, manager Michael Appleton will continue to push for a coveted top six spot.
Rovers find themselves seven points from sixth place currently, but with twelve games left and a possible 36 points to play for, the manager won't give up the fight.
"To reiterate it again, I think once you get to the last six games, have a look where you are and then you'll have an indication as to whether you can still reach the play-offs," said the manager.
"At the minute we literally have to just concentrate on one game at a time. It is okay us getting carried away and saying we are only seven points away from it, which is one thing, but seven points is a three game swing.
"it isn't just about us winning three games to go above teams, those teams have to lose three games as well.
"So from my point of view it is going to be difficult, but there's 36 points to play for. A lot of points to play for still.
"At the end of the day nobody wants to lose or draw a game, every single game you go into you want to win and we want to win 12 games.
"We desperately want to win 12 games of football if we possibly can, but the likelihood is that we'll lose a few, that is because of the position we are in at the minute.
"We'll be playing every minute of every game for the next 12 matches to give our upmost and try and be as competitive as we possibly can.
"We'll fight like hell for the three points and if it's enough after the 12 games then fantastic, if we fall short then it won't be for a lack of effort."
