Second chance

11 March 2013

Whilst Michael Appleton would have preferred not to have had an FA Cup replay, the manager is still pleased that Rovers have the chance to reach an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

After the blood and thunder tie at the Den ended goalless on Sunday, the two sides must do it all again this Wednesday night at Ewood Park, kick-off 7.30pm.

"Obviously before the game I wouldn't have wanted a replay but we still have a chance to go and play at Wembley," said Appleton.

"I'm sure both football clubs are delighted that they've got a second bite of the cherry and they'll be doing everything they can to get through the tie.

"The thought of playing a semi-final against Premier League opposition is a huge incentive for us."

Tickets for Wednesday's match are on open sale now, with extra opening times at Ewood, the town centre shop and at our call centre as supporters are advised to obtain their tickets in advance of the game due to the large crowds expected on the day of the game.

Tickets are priced at £18 for Adults, £12 for Seniors/Students and £6 for Juniors under 16.
