Posh have changed for the better

2 March 2013

Michael Appleton believes Peterbrough United will be represent a tougher challenge than they may have done earlier in the season.

When the two sides met back in November, Rovers were 4-1 victors at London Road, and boss Michael Appleton enjoyed a win by the same scoreline the following month whilst in charge of Blackpool.

Now as Rovers prepare to face the Posh at Ewood Park this Saturday, the manager isn't expecting an easy match.

"First and foremost they've changed their system," said Appleton.

"When I was Blackpool manager and beat them and when Blackburn went there and beat them, they were playing three at the back in a 3-5-2.

"They were very good and very attacking but they conceded a lot of chances and a lot of goals in the early part of the season.

"I think they've changed it a little bit more, shored it up a little bit and have gone 4-4-1 and to be fair they play some really good football and have had some impressive results.

"They knock it about, they pass the ball well. Sometimes it can be to their detriment and hopefully that will be the case on Saturday."

Tickets for Saturday's game will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices start from £15 for Adults, £10 Seniors and from just £5 for Juniors.

Avoid the matchday queues and book online today at and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
