International Thursday

21 March 2013

Rovers have a host of players hoping for match action this Thursday with Under-21 and Under-19 friendly matches taking place.

Jason Lowe is with the England Under-21 squad for their friendly against Romania at Adams Park, Wycombe this evening.

The match is one of two preparation games this week for Stuart Pearce's side ahead of this summer's Euro 2013 championships in Israel.

Also hoping to feature for his Under-21 squad is winger Fabio Nunes. Portugal have a friendly against Sweden in Viseu, Portugal tonight before a friendly against Ireland next week.

At Under-19 level, defender Jack O'Connell is expected to pull on the Three Lions shirt once more as England take on Turkey at Telford. Anton Forrester was originally called up for the clash at the New Bucks Head Stadium but has pulled out through injury.

Karim Rekik is with the Netherland's squad for their friendly international against a Czech Republic Under-19 side in Werkendam.
