A host of Rovers fixtures for the 2013-14 season have new dates.
Rovers' first visit to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers, our second away game of the season, has been brought forward 24 hours to Friday August 16th, kick-off 7.45pm. This is due to several major sporting events occurring in Doncaster over that weekend.
As expected, the East Lancashire derby against Burnley at Turf Moor has been moved from Saturday September 14th on the advice of the Police. The game now takes place on Sunday September 15th, kick-off 12.30pm.
With Rovers in action on the Sunday, the following match - away to Leicester City - now moves to Wednesday September 18th, kick-off 7.45pm at the King Power Stadium.
Another away trip to have a new date is our game against Wigan Athletic, which has been put back 24 hours due to the Latics' involvement in the Europa League. The Championship clash at the DW Stadium now takes place on Sunday October 6th, kick-off 3pm.
Rovers' return match at home to Burnley has also switched to a Sunday at the request of the Police. The Ewood Park encounter now takes place on Sunday March 9th at 12.30pm.
As a result, the midweek match against AFC Bournemouth has moved back a day. The home game against the Cherries will now be played on Wednesday March 12th, kick-off 7.45pm.
