Josh King produced an industrious display as Norway booked their place in the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championship with a 1-1 draw against Italy.
Making his first appearance in the tournament, the Rovers forward looked lively from the off, but missed the late drama in Tel Aviv after being substituted 16 minutes from full-time.
Norway looked to have secured top spot in Group A when Stefan Strandberg converted from the spot in the 90th minute, only for Italy’s Andrea Bertolacci to net a last-gasp leveller deep into added time.
The point was enough for Norway to progress to the last four, where they will meet either the Netherlands or Spain on Saturday.
England’s dismal campaign ended with another defeat, as Stuart Pearce’s side lost 1-0 to hosts Israel.
Jason Lowe was an unused substitute for the Young Lions, who head home having failed to pick up a single point at the finals.
