New signings Alan Judge and Chris Taylor can't wait for their first outing in a Rovers shirt this Saturday.
The duo are expected to get game time as Rovers take on Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday and they'll be looking to make a good impression in front of both boss Gary Bowyer and the travelling support.
Speaking at the launch of the new home kit at the Roverstore on Thursday, Alan Judge said: "I'm looking forward to it big time, it is the first chance to go out and impress so I'll be doing what I can.
"It is a chance to dust the boots off and to see how bad my touch is!"
Fellow midfielder Taylor added: "It is the first game so you want to make a good impression.
"I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully I can get some minutes under my belt and show that I'm a good player.
"There is plenty of competition for places, it is a big squad, everyone will be trying to stake a claim for a place and I'm no different.
"You've got to work hard and show in these games that you are worthy of a place and hopefully come the start of the season you'll be in the starting eleven."
Supporters who haven't yet purchased their tickets for this Saturday's match at Wrexham can do so on the day.
Gary Bowyer's new-look squad get their pre-season preparations underway in earnest with the game at the Racecourse Ground, kick-off 3.00pm.
Tickets are priced £10 Adults, £5 Seniors 60 and over, £5 Under-21s and £2 for Under-16s, and will be available from Wrexham via turnstiles 1-4 in the Yale Stand.
