Rovers forward Josh King believes there is plenty more to come from both him and the team in the upcoming campaign.
Josh, who joined Rovers from Manchester United in January, showed flashes of his undoubted talent last term, but was hampered by a hamstring injury.
The speedy Scandinavian hopes to get a full pre-season under his belt and really hit the ground running come August 4th.
He also believes the appointment of Gary Bowyer as manager marks a clean slate for the club, which he hopes will result in a more successful season.
Speaking from Rovers' warm weather training camp in Portugal, Josh said: "It's good to be back here and to see the lads again.
"Last season was a bit chaotic, but it looks like we're starting on a blank page now and that's good for the club, the players and the fans.
"Hopefully we can do better this season. In fact I'm positive that we will do.
"The gaffer has been talking to us and telling us that we all know what happened last season, but we've got to forget that. That's the past and we've got to look forward to this season.
"It's not going to be easy - the Championship is a very tough league. Everyone can beat everyone, but it's important to get confidence in the team and getting away here and getting our fitness up, in this heat, is a good start."
Josh hopes the introduction of a new training technique to his fitness regime, made famous by one of his former Manchester United team-mates, could be the key to his own personal progress as a player.
"There's definitely a lot more to come from me," he added. "I just need to stay fit.
"I'm an explosive player and I'm a bit stiff, so I've started doing yoga now and hopefully that will help. It helped Ryan Giggs, so I don't see why it can't help me.
"Hopefully this season will be a lot better. I was fit when I first came, the first six games, and then I had the injury and I was up and down and in and out of the team, so it was a bit difficult.
"But, just like the club and the team, we all start on blank pages. This is only my second or third pre-season in six years - the rest I've been injured - so it's good to be fit for pre-season and to get a proper good run in before the season starts."
Josh only joined up with his team-mates for pre-season in Portugal after being given a few extra days off following his involvement in the European Under-21 Championship last month.
After playing 70 minutes for the Norway senior side in a World Cup qualifier away to Albania, Josh flew straight out to Israel for the Under-21 finals and subsequently missed the first two matches.
He returned for their final group game, in which Italy scored a dramatic late leveller to deny Norway top spot, resulting in a meeting with pre-tournament favourites Spain at the semi-final stage.
"It was a shame I couldn't be there from the start, because I had to go with the first team and then fly down three hours after that game and then I missed the games against Israel and England," added the 21-year-old.
"But it was a good experience. You see where the level is for the best players in Europe in your age.
"Playing against Spain was very tough. I think we had the ball about 15% in the first half, so it was a good experience and it was fun to go with the lads that I grew up with.
"From the start, I always thought we would go past the group stage and then people who noticed that said we'd get to the final, but we were playing against the team that won it, so fair play to them.
"I think it maybe would have been a bit different if we didn't let that goal in against Italy in the last minute and we would have ended up playing against Holland.
"I think that would have given us a better chance of getting to the final, but we got to the semi-finals and we were all proud of ourselves and so were the coaches.
"The senior squad is what all the young players are aiming for, so it was good being a part of that too."
