Central defender happier with the clean sheet than the super goal.
Scott Dann has revealed that Saturday's clean sheet has given him more satisfaction than his goalscoring exploits.
The central defender scored a stunning second goal as Rovers defeated Derby County 3-0 in the FA Cup at Pride Park, but it was the win and the shutout at the back that pleased him more.
"Obviously it was a good goal, but personally I'm happier with the clean sheet," said Dann after the game.
"I think we needed it, the more clean sheets we keep the further we'll be up the league, so for me I think that was the biggest plus.
"The corner got cleared out and Danny has seen me and it just sat up well and I thought why not? Fortunately enough it went in the top corner.
"I've scored a few half decent ones but none as good as that. It was nice to get on the scoresheet and I probably should have got a couple more with the set-pieces that we put in.
"I'm just delighted to get through to the next round."
See Dann and Rovers in action this Saturday when Bristol City are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets for the game are on open sale priced from £15 for Adults, £10 for Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk.
