Adam Henley will have a scan on Monday to discover the extent of his injury sustained in Saturday's FA Cup victory over Bristol City.
The full back limped out of Rovers' 2-0 win with a hamstring strain during the first half at Ewood Park.
The injury is a blow to the young Welshman as he has held down the right back slot with impressive performances since his return to the first team squad back in November. It is hoped that the injury was caught in time and that his absence won't be too lengthy.
"Adam has damaged his hamstring but we don't know how bad," Gary Bowyer told Radio Rovers after the game.
"He's come back into the side and done tremendously well and over the last two games he's been magnificent and he was starting to do the same today.
"But unfortunately he's tweaked a hamstring so we'll pick that up on Monday."
Rovers are back in action on Friday night when they travel to Molineux to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
