Rovers' latest signing Joshua King has been impressed with the impact made by caretaker boss Gary Bowyer.
The Reserve-team boss has been thrust into the limelight after taking charge on a temporary basis following the sacking of Henning Berg and has guided Rovers to back-to-back victories over Barnsley and Nottingham Forest.
Now as Bowyer prepares to take charge against Bristol City in this afternoon's FA Cup, King has spoken of his admiration.
"It isn't easy for someone to come in and take over the team but I think Gary has been brilliant since he has come in," said King.
"We've won the last two games so results speak for themselves.
"We now know that he'll be in charge until the end of January which is good, we are on a roll now so we have to keep that going.
"We need to keep our heads, work hard, take each game as it comes and try to get three points on each occasion."
Tickets for today's FA Cup match will be on sale up until kick-off. Prices start from £15 for Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors.
