Scott Dann is hoping that Rovers take their impressive form from the win over Derby County at the weekend into this Saturday's game against Bristol City.
The central defender believes Rovers have picked up their performances in their last two outings and wants to continue that at Ewood Park against Sean O'Driscoll's side.
Dann remains confident that Rovers can make a late charge to the play-off places, but points have to be earned quickly.
"Obviously we are disappointed where we are in the league but I think with the new manager coming in it has given us a little bit of a boost," said Dann.
"Against Charlton we never showed what we were capable of and we didn't really play very well but we put that right against Brighton albeit we were a bit unlucky near the end.
"I think against Derby we showed what we are capable of and we need to keep that up and start picking up more points.
"I think we are still ten points off the it but you never know in this league, that is what we'll be aiming for from now until the end of the season.
"In the next couple of games we've got to be picking up maximum points and we'll be doing our upmost to do that."
See Dann and Rovers in action this Saturday when Bristol City are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets for the game are on open sale priced from £15 for Adults, £10 for Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk.
