Michael Appleton isn't paying any attention to the league table at the moment.
Back-to-back home wins over Bristol City and Ipswich Town may have seen Rovers rise to the cusp of the play-off places, behind tonight's opponents Brighton, but the manager is insistant that the position makes no difference at this stage of the season, it is only about picking up points.
"Honestly, I don't take any notice of it at the minute," admitted the Rovers boss.
"It is just nice to be on a good run at the minute, it is nice to be to get rewarded with the clean sheets because of the work that you put in during the week.
"There are 16 games to go, at the minute the league table means nothing.
"I've said it many times, if we are in the mix with five or six games to go then that is when you can say lets have a right crack at it.
"With the championship it is all about picking up as many points as you can, any point is a good point, that is what we'll be looking to do over the next 16 games and then see where it will land us."
Full match commentary from the AMEX Stadium will be available on Rovers Player tonight, our broadcast will start at approximately 7.30pm.
