Latest signing Lee Williamson is eager to play his part in Rovers' promotion push.
The former Portsmouth and Sheffield United midfielder has linked up with Michael Appleton once more and after missing last Saturday's win over Ipswich Town through illness, he can't wait to be back involved.
"It is nice to be back and I can't wait to get playing again," said Williamson.
"I'm definitely looking forward to it, this is a great club to play for, a really big club.
"It is our ambition now to get back into the Premier League, get the next few months out of the way and get the club back where it belongs."
Williamson worked with Appleton during his time with Portsmouth and was delighted when the Rovers boss came back in for him, putting pen to paper on an 18-month deal.
"I do rate him highly," said Williamson of Appleton. "Over the years I've had many coaches and managers and he's up there.
"I'm thankful that he's brought me here, having been with him at Portsmouth I know him, I know his sessions, I know how he works, I know his mentality and his qualities.
"He's a really good manager and it definitely swayed me to come here. I was pleased that he stuck by me and trusted me and I'm thankful of the opportunity to come to such a good club."
