Get that winning feeling back

22 February 2013

Michael Appleton believes the players will be looking to put things right against Leeds United on Saturday.

Rovers suffered their first defeat in seven outings when they lost 2-0 away at Hull City on Tuesday night, but with Leeds United the visitors to Ewood Park, the manager feels it presents the perfect opportunity to make amends.

"I genuinely think that it will be a completely different performance tomorrow," said Appleton.

"One thing that you can't guarantee is a result, but I think the players enjoyed the winning feeling and the feeling of not getting beat over a stretch of games and I think they want to get that winning feeling back again and tomorrow will be a good opportunity to do that.

"The disappointment of Tuesday will hopefully spur the players onto a good performance. Three points would be a big boost, then we have to back it up with a result against Leicester City."
