Boss demands a response

28 February 2013

Michael Appleton has called on his side to bounce back with a win over Peterborough United on Saturday.

Rovers disappointed at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night when they suffered a 3-0 loss to Leicester City, but as they prepare to take on Posh at Ewood Park this weekend, the manager wants his side to show the same battling qualities displayed seven days earlier against Leeds United.

"I think the biggest thing I was pleased with was the response I got after the defeat at Hull when we played against Leeds United," said Appleton.

"I certainly expect a performance that is going to give me something along the lines of the that game if not better.

"Hopefully we can go at it in the same manner and with the same attitude that we showed against Leeds. As long as we get the response that we want from the players then we'll be happy.

"The crowd will get behind us and hopefully we'll get that victory that can push us onto the next game."

Tickets for Saturday's game will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices start from £15 for Adults, £10 Seniors and from just £5 for Juniors.

Avoid the matchday queues and book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
