Team news for Millwall match

12 December 2013

Gary Bowyer has a near fully fit squad to choose from ahead of Saturday's match with Millwall.

The Rovers boss reports no new injury worries following last week's draw with Queens Park Rangers, as he prepares to welcome the Lions to Ewood Park .

"We are okay, we are not doing to bad," said Bowyer. "We've got one or two knocks but nothing more than that.

"We are looking forward to having a fit squad to choose from and having a right good go at Millwall and trying to get a win again because they are very difficult to come by."

Todd Kane is available once more after serving a one-match ban after picking up five bookings, DJ Campbell isn't available as he has been given time to spend with his family.

Rudy Gestede has shaken off the knock that forced him to miss the draw at Loftus Road and should be included.

Paul Robinson and Corry Evans are both on the road to recovery, with the goalkeeper possibly being involved against Middlesbrough for the development squad next Monday.

"Paul played 90 minutes in a behind closed doors game on Tuesday, so that is his first game in a long time," added the manager.

"He has worked hard with John Keeley and Chris Neville in getting fit, he's still got a little bit to do but it was great to hear him and see him on the pitch.

"He is going to provide some good competition in the goalkeeping area which is fantastic for us.

"He's got to keep training hard and picking up games where we can and then see when and where he is ready to try and push himself back into the first team.

"We are also hoping Corry might start running next week so that is a positive.

"He is working very hard in all the areas he is doing in his rehab and we are hoping that he might start running next week.

"We'll be governed by the medical department and that is going to take a while so we can't rush him at the moment.

"We have a busy Christmas and New Year period so we need as many players back playing, the squad will certainly get stretched during that time."
