Super Simon

8 December 2013

Gary Bowyer hailed the performance of goalkeeper Simon Eastwood as one of the key reasons why Rovers came away from Loftus Road with a worthy point.

After a first half in which Eastwood had rarely been involved, the goalkeeper, making his league debut for Rovers, pulled off a sensational second half save to keep out Matty Phillips' close-range strike.

"It is a world class save, if it was anyone else it would be replayed and replayed," said Bowyer.

"To be fair to the big man he stood up and made a great save, we are delighted for him.

"I thought his all-round game was excellent."

Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Millwall are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets are currently on open sale with prices from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors.
