Tommy Spurr can't wait to face one of his former clubs Sheffield Wednesday later today.
The 25-year-old comes up against the side he joined as a youngster, going onto make over 200 appearances for the Owls.
Spurr has never played Wednesday in a competitive fixture, so is very much looking forward to locking horns with his former friends.
Speaking to Rovers Player, the full back said: "Obviously I spent a lot of time at Sheffield Wednesday, it will be the first time I've played against them properly in a league game, so I am really looking forward to it.
"They gave me the opportunity to play professional football so I'll always be grateful to them for that.
"I can't wait, I just want to go out there, I feel that I've a little bit to prove to them. It is a big day for me.
"For us to get another result and to keep climbing the league, getting closer to the play-offs is something that we are wanting to do."
Tickets for the Boxing Day will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off with prices from £19 for Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors.
