After starting his first game in a Rovers shirt, loan man Rudy Gestede is eager to get more match action.
The Benin international made his full debut on Boxing Day, playing an hour as Rovers drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday, and hopes he has done enough to feature more often over the festive period.
Speaking to Radio Rovers after the Wednesday match, the striker said: "It is a good feeling to be on the pitch. I haven't played for a long time.
"I joined Blackburn to play and today I had my chance so I'm happy.
"The most important thing for a football player is to be on the pitch and join in with the team. Today was my first start and I hope I will get more."
Gestede admits that he wasn't at full fitness when he joined from Cardiff City last month, but has settled into his new surroundings quickly.
"Everybody has been very welcoming to me, the facilities at the club are very nice," added Gestede.
"I start to play, that is why I came, so I hope I will get more minutes in the next game.
"The staff, and the medical staff are managing me very well, when I came I wasn't ready, I wasn't fit, but now I am better and I will get fitter after more games and hopefully I will get a few goals."
Tickets for today's game will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Priced from £19 Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors.
