Paul Robinson will make his long-awaited return to action this evening when he lines up for the Under-21s against Middlesbrough at Leigh Sports Village.

The former England international hasn't featured for Rovers for 12 months after complications following a back operation sidelined the stopper.

Since the beginning of October the 34-year-old has worked hard to step up his fitness and having played in a behind closed doors friendly against Carlisle United last week, Robinson makes his first public playing appearance tonight.

The goalkeeper is part of a stronger than usual squad for tonight's match against Middlesbrough, as seniors Markus Olsson, Yann Songo'o and Fabio Nunes also feature.

New signing Connor Mahoney is included for the first time as he is named amongst the substitutes.

Season ticket holders can see this evening's match for free on production of their season ticket card on the turnstiles. General admission prices at Leigh Sports Village are £4 for Adults and £2 Concessions.

Kick-off is at 7.00pm.

ROVERS: Robinson, Daly, Olsson, Lenihan, Songo'o, Tumwa, Fernandez, O'Sullivan, Slew, Payne, Fabio Nunes.

Subs: Rittenberg, Urwin, Preston, Bauress, Mahoney.
