Patience pays off for Henley

8 December 2013

Rovers defender Adam Henley impressed on his return to the first team in Saturday's goalless draw with Queens Park Rangers.

The 19-year-old full back has had to endure a frustrating time since picking up a serious hamstring injury last season, but he didn't let anyone down on his first start of the campaign.

Speaking after the game, manager Gary Bowyer was full of praise for the young Welshman: "Adam has had to wait a long time, the injury has been hard for him but the way that he performed today was magnificent.

"He nullified Junior and they ended up taking Junior off so that is full credit to Adam.

"It was also off the back of a booking as well, he was magnificent today."

Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Millwall are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets are currently on open sale with prices from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors.
