Make that point count

13 December 2013

Boss Gary Bowyer has urged his side to make the most of last week's well-earned point against Queens Park Rangers when they take on Millwall on Saturday.

Far too often this season Rovers have failed to build on positive results, but with three home matches in their next four, Bowyer is confident that the side can get a run going, starting with the Lions at Ewood Park this weekend.

"I think the point last week and the performance at QPR after the Ipswich game gave everybody a bit of a boost," the manager told Rovers Player.

"It was a game we could quite easily have won given our first half performance, but we'd have taken that at the start of the game to come away from the league leaders with a point.

"It gives us a platform to build on, but in the Championship nobody would have given us a chance of going to QPR and getting a point. It just shows you just what you can do.

"Now we go into a series of home games and we've got to make that point count with a performance against Millwall.

"We can't be complacent that is for sure, but we've got to make sure that we do everything that we've done at home and last week at QPR to get our first away clean sheet."

Tickets for this Saturday's match at Ewood Park against Millwall are currently on open sale with prices from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors.
