Scott Dann believes the squad have responded in the right manner after the disappointing defeat by Ipswich at the beginning of the month.
Since that miserable evening at Portman Road, Rovers have beaten Millwall and Yeovil Town, whilst drawing away with high-flying Queens Park Rangers.
The Rovers captain admits that harsh words were said from Gary Bowyer after the game at Ipswich but they have had the desired effect with the upturn in form.
"He didn't need to say any words after the Ipswich game but he did," said Dann of the manager.
"We knew that we performed below the standards that we've set ourselves and we gave the game away at Ipswich.
"When you come away from home in the Championship it is always going to be tough no matter who you are playing against.
"The last two away games we've obviously got two clean sheets so we need to keep that resilience, especially away from home.
"We know we've got to grind games out, if you want to get anywhere in this league you've got to grind a lot of games out."
After a December of lengthy travels Rovers finish the month with back-to-back home games, starting with Sheffield Wednesday this Boxing Day, before Birmingham City visit Ewood Park on Sunday.
And for Dann, he fully believes that the confidence is there in the squad to take maximum points.
"I think off the back of the last few performances, seven points out of the last three games, going into two home games we've got to make sure that we try and take maximum points and keep climbing the league," added the defender.
"We want to keep pushing ourselves and setting ourselves challenges and I think with the run of games coming up we've got to really give it a good go and try and put as many points as possible."
