Gary Bowyer wants his side to take their frustration at only getting a draw on Boxing Day out on Birmingham City this Sunday at Ewood Park.
Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday played out a goalless draw earlier in the week, and although the point takes Rovers to four unbeaten, it was a missed opportunity to take them closer to the teams at the top.
Now as Rovers prepare to face Lee Clark's in-form Blues side this Sunday, Bowyer wants all three points.
“We understand the frustration everybody felt after Sheffield Wednesday so the best thing is to have a game quickly to try get that out of the system," said the Rovers boss.
“But as I said after the game on Boxing Day you have to respect every point you pick up in this league and that’s what we have done with the Sheffield Wednesday point and we will go into the Birmingham game on the back of a four-match unbeaten run now.
“It’s very easy to be negative. You always have to be positive and try and take something out of it and that’s what we’ve done with the players. They were frustrated, and we understand it, and so were the fans, and we understand that too.
“But we’ve just got to keep plugging away and pick these points up and it will be no different against Birmingham."
Tickets for Sunday's game will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Priced from £19 Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors.
