Adam Henley hopes his injury nightmares are behind him after his impressive return to first team action last weekend at Queens Park Rangers.
The full back sustained a serious hamstring injury last March against this weekend's opponents Millwall, which kept him out of action for the best part of eight months.
"It has been very frustrating, it seems like an eternity since I was last on the pitch," Henley told Rovers Player.
"It has been frustrating but it is one of those things that every professional will have to go through.
"It has been an experience and something I can learn from and hopefully it will put me in good stead in the future."
The match at Loftus Road was Henley's first senior appearance, with the 19-year-old admitting it was a relief to be back out there playing for Rovers.
Henley added: "It was unbelievable, it has been a long, long time since I've been on the pitch getting first team minutes. So that feeling of being out there after months and months was great.
"It was great to come back and have a good impact on the game and remind people what you were about before the injuries.
"I felt like I put a good stint in for myself and hopefully I can keep that place now."
