Grasp the opportunity

26 December 2013

Gary Bowyer doesn't agree with the importance that is often put on the busy festive period.

Rovers face three games in six days with home games against Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City followed by a New Years Day trip to Elland Road to take on Leeds United.

But Bowyer doesn't feel that just because there are games played in quick succession, it is any more important than the rest of the campaign.

"I think the important part of the season is all of it, you can't necessarily pinpoint one particular stage of that," said the Rovers boss.

"What we do feel is that this run of games gives us a great opportunity to get some points on board.

"We just got to keep focussed on that and make sure that the players don't drop the standards that they have set themselves now.

"We are just going to keep concentrating game by game.

"Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day is going to be a tough game, I went and watched them on Wednesday night against Wigan and they are a big strong side and they are not going to come to Ewood just to give us an easy ride that is for sure."

Tickets for the Ewood Park match on Boxing Day are currently on open sale with prices from £19 for Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors.

Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point at the end of the game.
