Earn the shirt

6 December 2013

Gary Bowyer has demanded that the players selected to play against Queens Park Rangers prove they deserve to be in the starting eleven.

The Rovers boss is expected to make changes to his line-up for Saturday's match at Loftus Road after being far from impressed with the side's second half performance in the midweek defeat against Ipswich Town.

"Our second half performance wasn't acceptable, the calibre of goals that we gave away wasn't acceptable," said Bowyer.

"I'm a great believer if you've got the shirt then keep the shirt and that is what we'll be saying to them on Saturday.

"Whoever has that shirt in the starting eleven on Saturday make sure you've got it for the next game at home to Millwall.
