Gary Bowyer has heaped praise on former Rover Junior Hoilett ahead of today's clash with Queens Park Rangers.
The Canadian-born attacker came through the ranks at the Ewood Park club before signing for the Hoops on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.
Bowyer knows Junior well from his time working with him at the Academy and can only see a bright future for the 22-year-old.
"I first met him when he was 15," said the Rovers boss. "I think he was the same height then as he is now so he's not grown much in that time!
"First and foremost, he's an outstanding lad, at 15 the ability that he had then you knew that he would go on and have a career.
"He's been around the mill in terms of different countries, but our fans know exactly what he is capable of and I'm sure they'll give him a great reception."
Junior moved on from Rovers after relegation from the top flight, but he quickly made the move back to the Premier League when he was snapped up by then QPR boss Mark Hughes.
Now as a regular for Harry Redknapp's side, Rovers certainly have to be wary of his talents.
"He wanted to stay in the Premiership, we fully understand that, but it is up to us to make sure that we don't give him a sniff in the game, but I'm sure he'll be right up for it," added the manager.
"He's top drawer is Junior, I've always liked him, I've always loved watching him play.
"In training as a kid our lads couldn't get the ball off him he was that good. It is no surprise that he has had such a prominent career."
