After his goalscoring display on Saturday, boss Gary Bowyer believes Ben Marshall is starting to hit form at just the right time.
The former Leicester City man grabbed his first goal in Rovers colours in the 3-2 win over Millwall at the weekend, arriving unmarked to meet Tommy Spurr's centre to head the home side back in front, with Bowyer delighted with the form being shown from his summer signing.
"I think his performance last week against Queens Park Rangers has given him confidence," Bowyer told Radio Rovers on Saturday.
"Then you saw the effect of his confidence in the game today.
"Hopefully this pushes him on again and I thought he did ever so well."
Marshall, along with Chris Taylor and Josh King, operated as a three behind frontman Jordan Rhodes, with the trio switching positions throughout the game, something Bowyer might make more use of.
"To be fair to us we've got the ability and the flexibility to do that," added the manager.
"If it isn't happening for us we can put Kingy down the middle to turn teams and run after it.
"We've got Marshall and Taylor who can also play in a variety of positions so it is good for us.
"It makes us unpredictable thats for sure."
