Away improvement imperative

3 December 2013

Following Saturday's win over Leeds United, midfielder Chris Taylor believes Rovers can go into the games against Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers in good spirit.

Taylor was the standout performer as Rovers defeated Leeds United 1-0 at Ewood Park at the weekend, and he feels that they'll have to show that same hunger and desire with the two tough away trips coming up.

"We go full of confidence, we won't underestimate either of them," Taylor told Rovers Player.

"They are two tough games like it is every week. But we believe that we can go anywhere and get the win. We have to start doing that away from home, our record has to improve and hopefully that will start this week.

"With this squad of players we know we can go on a run and quickly rise up the league, so I'm hoping that this is the time that we start shooting up the league.

"We've just got to believe in what we are doing, all stick together - fans included - and hopefully we can go one way, and that is up.

"If we can be in and around the pack then I believe come the end of the season we'll have a right chance."

Rovers supporters have until 12 noon Tuesday to get their tickets for the away match at Ipswich Town at a reduced rate.

Fans are advised to obtain their tickets in advance of the game, as although tickets will be on sale at Portman Road this evening, prices increase on the night.

Tickets will go off sale at the Roverstore at Ewood Park at 12 noon Tuesday.

Advanced ticket prices are £26.00 Adults, £19.00 Seniors over 60 / Students with valid NUS Card / Under 20s and £10.50 Under 16’s.

Prices at Portman Road on Tuesday night are £28.50 Adults, £21.50 Seniors over 60 / Students with valid NUS Card / Under 20s, £11 Under 16’s.
