A squad for the festive season

20 December 2013

Gary Bowyer believes the full extent of his playing staff will be utilised over the busy Christmas period.

Starting with Saturday's game against Yeovil Town, Rovers face four matches in 12 days, with home games against Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City followed by a New Year's Day clash away at Leeds United.

The manager's injury worries have eased over the last few weeks and with the games coming thick and fast it has certainly come at the perfect time.

"We'll see with the busy schedule the strength of the squad and we will utilise it as we see fit," said Bowyer.

"But it will be a squad game over the Christmas period that is for sure.

"We aren't going to be making any excuses because we've got a good fit squad and everybody loves playing, especially over this period.

"It doesn't matter who you are playing on those days because the games come so quick.

"It is who can recover quickly and who can add to the squad if you have suffered from injuries."

Tickets for Saturday's match against Yeovil Town will be on sale until 2.30pm Friday from Ewood and from 12pm Friday in the town centre.

Tickets are priced from £20 Adults, £15 Seniors, £13 16-21s and £1 Juniors Under 16s. Tickets will be on sale on the day of the game from Huish Park with prices rising £2 except for Juniors.
