Rovers boss Gary Bowyer believes that new signing Ben Marshall will supply the ammunition to get the strikers at the club shooting up the goal charts.
The 22-year-old winger became Bowyer's 12th signing of the summer earlier this week, arriving from Leicester City on a four-year deal.
Bowyer is fully aware of the attributes that Marshall can bring to the squad, particularly after the way he played against Rovers in the two matches last season, and he hopes he can now be that threat to the opposition.
"He's a great technician which will suit the style of play that we are trying to play this season," said the manager.
"Against us last season, especially at their place, he had no end of supply of crosses into our box, so I'm sure that our forwards will be delighted with him coming into our side and supplying the same.
"I've said all along that we are looking to build a team around Jordan Rhodes and provide him with more opportunities, so the addition of Marshall will certainly help that.
"Now that Jordan is off and running we can't wait to get more people supplying crosses for him."
See Ben Marshall in action this afternoon when Rovers take on Bolton Wanderers at Ewood Park. Tickets for today's game will be on sale up to the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £19 Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors.
