Rovers' Under-21s kick off their league campaign this afternoon with a match at West Bromwich Albion.
Eric Kinder's young charges were unbeaten against the Baggies last season after a 2-2 away draw and a 2-0 home win, so they'll be looking to get off to a similar start at West Brom's training ground today.
Rovers are expected to give more game time to defender Adam Henley. Following a hamstring injury the full back made his return to action last week for the Under-21s, playing 30 minutes at Curzon Ashton. This afternoon's match is likely to see the Welshman step up his fitness once more.
Aside from Henley the squad is expected to light on experience, with the majority from the Under-21s and Under-18s.
Kick-off at West Brom's training ground is 3.00pm, the game is behind closed doors with no public admission allowed.
