Rovers' Under-18s put in an outstanding display to hold Welsh Premier League club Bala Town to a 2-2 draw on Friday evening.
David Lowe's Academy side stunned the hosts with two goals inside the opening three minutes at Maes Tegid.
Bala hadn't conceded a goal in their three previous pre-season friendlies but a lively start from Rovers saw Sam Joel score almost straight from the kick-off after just 30 seconds.
Inside three minutes and Joel had grabbed his and Rovers' second of the game, breaking clear to slot home.
Against a side that had competed in the Europa League just last month Rovers saw their lead reduced when Stephen Brown scored on 35 minutes, then Ian Sheridan brought the scores level with a second half strike.
Against a much older and more physical side, the Under-18s performed admirably to hold on for the draw to maintain their unbeaten pre-season record this summer.
Speaking after the game coach David Lowe said: "I thought our guys stuck to the task really well even though we conceded after scoring two early goals.
"Overall it was a really pleasing performance and a very worthwhile exercise against a much more experienced and stronger team."
The Under-18s are back in action this Tuesday lunchtime when they face Birmingham City at Brockhall, kick-off 12.30pm.
