Duty calls

12 August 2013

Rovers have six players away on international duty this week.

The league season may have only just started but there's a round of international friendlies taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wembley is the setting for the Teenage Cancer Trust friendly match between England and Scotland with Rovers having both Grant Hanley and Jordan Rhodes in the Scots' squad for Wednesday's match.

Joshua King also has a Scandinavian derby to contend with as Norway face Sweden at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

Rovers' latest signing Corry Evans, who was an unused sub at the weekend, will link up with the Northern Ireland squad for their friendly against Russia at Belfast.

Rovers are also represented at Under-21 level. Tuesday sees Todd Kane join up with England for the first time for their friendly at Bramall Lane against Sweden, whilst Anthony O'Connor's Republic of Ireland face the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.
