Bowyer ready for competitive clash

16 August 2013

Gary Bowyer is expecting Doncaster Rovers to provide a tough challenge when the two sides meet for the first time at the Keepmoat Stadium this Friday evening.

Bowyer believes that newly-promoted Doncaster will play in the way their manager Paul Dickov did when he was a player.

Dickov was always a fans favourite for his wholehearted displays during his time at Ewood, and the Rovers boss feels that Dickov's Donny will be just as competitive.

"I was the youth team coach and I had to take one Reserve game when Dickov was playing in it so I've known him a long time," said Bowyer.

"Obviously he's got his connections with his club, we saw how he played and how he went about the game and I'm expecting his team to be exactly the same.

"I know that he'll want his teams to be as competitive as the way he played, so we are in for a tough night."

Tickets for Friday's match at the Keepmoat Stadium will be on sale from the Soccer Centre Reception by the away end at Doncaster.

Prices are £23.00 Adults, £17.00 Seniors (aged 60+), £13.00 Young Persons 17-20 years, £8.00 Junior 12-16 years and £5.00 11 years & under.
