Loan update

8 April 2013

It was a disappointing weekend for the Rovers players out on loan as none ended on the winning side.

Of the nine Rovers players out on loan, only four featured but in those games there were two draws and two defeats.

Jack O'Connell played the full match as York City drew 1-1 with Accrington Stanley.

The Minstermen looked set to pick up a hugely important three ponts after Adan Reed had given the home side the lead, but at the death Accrington's Peter Murphy netted an equaliser.

The result sees York City remain in 23rd position in League 2 with three games remaining.

Burton Albion's chances of an automatic promotion place took a hit as they were walloped 7-1 by fellow promotion chasers Port Vale on Saturday.

Veteran striker Lee Hughes did the majority of the damage as he bagged a hat-trick at Vale Park.

Defender Anthony O'Connor played the 90 on a disappointing day for the Brewers who remain in the play-off places.

Ryan Edwards played the full match for Fleetwood Town on Saturday but it wasn't a good day for Graham Alexander's Cod Army.

The central defender was up against his former club Rochdale, whom he had spent the first half of the year at, but it was Dale who would have the last laugh with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Fleetwood missed a penalty and had a man sent off as their chance of making the play-offs reduced.

Edinho Junior completes the round-up of the players involved at the weekend. The striker played the full match as Shillong Lajong drew 1-1 with ONGC.

Bruno Ribeiro and Mauro Formica were unused substitutes for Linense and Palermo respectively whilst Paulo Jorge, Ruben Rochina and Diogo Rosado had no involvement for their loan clubs over the weekend.
