Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has paid tribute to Jordan Rhodes after the striker won the Player of the Year award for 2012-13.
Since arriving from Huddersfield Town for a record breaking transfer deal back in August, the 23-year-old hotshot currently has 26 goals in all competitions in an outstanding first season with the club.
Rhodes was a clear winner in this season's voting, with his manager agreeing with the decision.
"To score that many goals in a team that hasn't done as well as it should have is full credit to him," said the Rovers boss.
"At the same time you have to give credit to the lads because they are providing him with the service. He'll always tell you that he wants more service so he can score more goals, but his work-rate is second to none and that is important for the team.
"Hopefully we can get the chances for him over the next two games and he can finish as the league's top goalscorer because that would be a great achievement for him."
