A massive effort required

5 April 2013

Gary Bowyer has called on his squad to give their all in the final seven games of the season.

Rovers face a hugely important match this Saturday when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, a match that sees 19th take on 21st in the npower Championship, the first of seven games that Bowyer sees as winnable.

"Everybody is ready for the challenge of the next seven games. That is what it is, a seven game season for us now," said the Rovers boss.

"We had a meeting with the players and we made them all aware as to where we are at, what lies ahead, and what we need to achieve.

"It will take a massive effort from everybody involved but it is one that we are looking forward to and relishing to make sure that we are in this division next season.

"I think the seven are all massive games, I expressed to the players that all seven games are winnable as long as we go and put ourselves about and compete for every ball that's going and throw our bodies on the line.

"We need to show that we care, that we have some passion and professional pride about us.

"The bigger the challenge, the greater the glory and for us to still be in this division next season will be exactly that."

Tickets for Saturday's match will go off sale at Ewood Park at 4pm on Friday but tickets will be on sale at Hillsborough on the day of the game. Prices are £26 Adults, £15 for Seniors and Under 18s. Call the ticket office on 0871 222 1444 for further information.
