Reserves face the Baggies

3 September 2012

Gary Bowyer's development squad go in search of their first points of the season.

Rovers' Reserves are back in action this Monday afternoon when they travel to the Midlands to take on West Bromwich Albion.

It has been a stuttering start for Rovers' under 21 squad having tasted defeat in their opening two away games at Norwich City and at Arsenal.

Today's game completes a trio of away matches at the start of the season for Gary Bowyer's squad, but it is at a venue where they arguably put in their best performance of last season.

On that day back in April, Albion were no match for a lively Rovers side that comfortably won the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Nick Blackman and Osayamen Osawe.

Rovers will be hoping for a similar performance and result today.

ROVERS: Usai, Henley, Beesley, Fernandez, O'Connell (c), Wylie, Maclaren, R. Hanley, Evans, O'Sullivan, Morris. Subs: Daly, Urwin, Osawe, Haley, Brown.

Kick-off is at 2.00pm.
