Boss happy with the first four outings, but admits the points tally should be higher.
Steve Kean believes that his Rovers side should have more points than they have already accumulated so far this season.
Rovers sit second in the npower Championship league table with a record of two wins and two draws, but having lead in all of the four matches played so far, Kean is disappointed that the points tally isn't more.
"We've got to see the games out, the times when we've been ahead it is then disappointing that we haven't gained more than a point," said Kean.
"When you look at the table, and it is no secret where we want to be at the end of the season, we want to be in an automatic promotion-winning position, and that is where we are sitting at the moment.
"So it has been a solid start and perhaps more importantly it has been a solid start at a few grounds that are difficult to go to and against some highly-rated clubs.
"We've not been up to speed for a full game yet, but I think the signs are encouraging.
"We've shown it in flashes, like in the first 35 minutes at Leeds where we got into our stride nice and early but we need to stretch that for a whole game and continue our dominance in possession."
Tickets for Saturday's match against Bristol City will be available from Ashton Gate on the day of the game priced at £25 for Adults, £20 for Seniors 65 and over, and £12 for Juniors aged under 16.
