England's Under-21s edge closer to winning their group after a 2-0 win over Azerbaijan.
England's Under-21 side defeated their Azerbaijan counterparts 2-0 in Baku on Thursday to set up a winner-takes-all qualification match against Norway on Monday.
Jason Lowe earned his fourth Under-21 cap in the UEFA qualifier, playing the full match as goals from Steven Caulker and Jonjo Shelvey saw the young lions win in the Azerbaijan capital.
The 2-0 win keeps England top of Group 8, but with Norway also winning on Thursday after a 3-1 victory away in Belgium, it means that Monday's match in Chesterfield between the two sides will decide who progresses through to the play-offs for a place in next summer's finals in Israel.
England lie two points clear of Norway, a draw for Stuart Pearce's side on Monday would be enough to see them progress.
