Do it for the fans - Kean

20 September 2012

Steve Kean wants Rovers to put on a display to reward the loyal supporters against Middlesbrough on Friday night.

Rovers might be sitting pretty at the top of the npower Championship, but as yet they haven't shown the sort of performances that the manager knows the players can produce.

Now as Rovers prepare to take on Tony Mowbray's Middlesbrough side, the manager wants a display to remember.

"I hope we can produce a better performance for the fans as I was disappointed with our play against Barnsley," Kean told Radio Rovers.

"I was hoping we would see some of the stuff we showed at Bristol City, minus the goals against, but we just didn't get into gear.

"So I'm looking forward to us having a good ninety minutes on Friday night and I'm sure the fans are as well.

"We want to show that we are a top side, we've shown signs but I'd love us to put it all together and have a fantastic display because the fans have been brilliant all season.

"I'd like to show them a 90-minute performance so lets give it a go on Friday night."

Ticket prices start from £15 for Adults, £10 for Seniors and £5 for Juniors.

Supporters are also reminded that it isn't too late to purchase a 2012-13 season ticket.

Season tickets in the Ronnie Clayton Blackburn End, Darwen End and Riverside stands are still available from just £259 – which provides supporters with the equivalent of nine FREE games against matchday prices.
