Rovers captain back at Charlton for the first time.
Danny Murphy is looking forward to facing one of his former clubs later this afternoon.
For the Rovers captain spent an enjoyable two seasons at the South London club and makes his first return to The Valley against a side managed by his former playing partner Chris Powell.
"It is going to be nice going back, I think it'll be one of my first times going back there since I left," said Murphy on Rovers Player.
"My memories are good ones of Charlton, we had a successful time there, even though I wasn't there very long.
"We had a good side, I enjoyed my football there and made some good friends there and of course playing with me then was their manager now so it is really pleasing to see them do so well.
"He was always a guy you could go up to and talk to. He'd give you a calm opinion and he was always good with the younger lads and you could sense that he would go onto coaching and maybe management.
"The influence he's had there in the short time he's been there has been huge. It seems a perfect fit him managing them to be honest."
Murphy believes that Rovers can't underestimate Saturday's opposition, knowing that once again it'll be a difficult match.
"They've had a mixed start but they've picked up recently and it'll be a tough challenge going there.
"They've got some good players, I played against them in the FA Cup last year for Fulham and they were quite impressive on the day, so I think they'll cause us problems."
Tickets for the Charlton game will be on sale at the Valley from the South Stand Ticket Office, cash only. Prices are £29 for Adults, £27.50 for concessions.
