Loan round-up

1 October 2012

Of the five Rovers players out on loan, just the three saw game time for their respective clubs at the weekend.

Micah Evans, who made a loan move to Chesterfield last week, made his debut for the Spireites on Saturday as a second half substitute.

The 19-year-old came on at the Proact Stadium after 64 minutes in Chesterfield's 1-1 draw with Torquay United.

Ryan Edwards was on the winning side once more as Rochdale impressed on the road with a 2-1 win over Gillingham.

Goals from Andrew Tutte and Bobby Grant put the visitors in front and although Gillingham hit back from a Danny Kedwell penalty, 'Dale saw the game out to claim all three points.

Defender Edwards played the full ninety minutes for John Coleman's side.

Also playing the full game once again was fellow defender Anthony O'Connor as Burton Albion were held to a 3-3 draw by Northampton Town.

The Irishman played at full back as Albion squandered a two-goal lead to have to settle for a point at the Pirelli Stadium.

The two players who weren't involved on Saturday were David Goodwillie and Myles Anderson, both were unused substitutes for Crystal Palace and Aldershot Town.
