Berg pleased with the improved display but disappointed not to win.
Whilst the overriding emotion was one of disappointment, Henning Berg was delighted with the improvement shown by his side.
The Rovers boss felt that his side were much improved from the weekend loss at Crystal Palace, dominating for long periods against Huddersfield.
After a strong opening it was the visitors who took a surprise lead, Lee Novak poking home a 15th minute opener.
Rovers rallied and rightly levelled just before the break when Jordan Rhodes fired home against his former club.
The second half brought Rovers the lead when Danny Murphy scored his first for the club, a penalty after Markus Olsson had been fouled.
But just as it looked like Rovers would claim a first win for the new manager, Lee Novak scored in the very last seconds of added time to leave Berg's side with just a point.
"I think we are all disappointed," said Berg after the game. "We're disappointed with the result and the way the game ended.
"Disappointed that we weren't able to kill off the game when we had the chance to as we had the chance to score more goals.
"When there's one minute to go and we have the ball in a good position we should keep the ball in that good position. We should have gone for the corners, sat on the ball and waited for the game to finish.
"But we have young players and they have to learn.
"We learned a lot on Saturday, we learned a little today, so hopefully we can improve on those things as well.
"Overall today was good, this is how we want us to play, this is what we'd like to see.
"We dominated the first half in terms of play and possession, and being 2-1 up for such a long time.
"So I'm very very disappointed not to come away with the three points."
