Monday match for Under-21s

12 November 2012

Rovers take on Everton in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League this lunchtime.

Rovers' Under-21 side will be looking to get back to winning ways this Monday afternoon when they take on Everton at Finch Farm, kick-off 1.00pm.

Gary Bowyer's second string were on the wrong end of some bad decisions in a 3-2 loss last time out to Norwich City so will be looking to put that right against the Toffees.

Grzegorz Sandomierski has recovered from his injuries sustained in the 3-2 loss at Ewood. The Polish international goalkeeper was stretchered off against the Canaries with a head injury, but he will take his place in goal for this afternoon's game.

Diogo Rosado and Bruno Ribeiro both get run-outs having not made the 18-man squad on Saturday against Birmingham, whilst Micah Evans returns following his month on loan with Chesterfield.

Academy full back Jordan Anderson makes his debut at Under-21 level, whilst Hugo Fernandez captain's the side. Reece Hands makes a welcome return to the squad after a lengthy absence through injury.

When the two teams met earlier in the season at Leigh Sports Village Rovers dominated for long spells, but a rare attack from Everton saw Shane Duffy score the only goal of the game.

ROVERS: Sandomierski, Anderson, Beesley, Paulo Jorge, Daly, Fernandez (c), O'Sullivan, Rosado, Evans, Cotton, Ribeiro.

Subs: Ware, Dilo, Hands, Laverty, Haley.
