Keep feeding Jordan

19 November 2012

Service is the key to keep Rhodes on the scoresheet says Berg.

Henning Berg has paid tribute to striker Jordan Rhodes after his hat-trick in the win over Peterborough United on Saturday.

The record signing bagged his first treble in Rovers colours to help his side win 4-1 at London Road.

The three goals from Rhodes took his tally to nine goals for Rovers this season, and five in a week following his brace for Scotland on Wednesday night.

"There are not that many players around the leagues that score goals on a regular basis but he is one of them," enthused Berg.

"He's done it in League One and now he is doing it in the Championship.

"So for us it is important that we feed him in the box, that we get enough crosses in, enough passes in the box so that he can get chances.

"We know he is a great finisher, he has great timing of his runs, we are very happy to have him, it is fantastic for us.

"He is a really good finisher, he hasn't been tested at a higher level yet, he played League One last season, he is playing in the Championship now and hopefully he'll be playing in the Premier League with us next season."

See Jordan Rhodes and the rest of the Rovers squad this coming Saturday when Millwall are the visitors to Ewood Park.
